Remote reading
A collector in the basement or stairwell reads the meters. The manager sees a table, not photos of receipts.
Installing or replacing a water meter means valves, a seal and the building manager, not just a new device in the shaft. If you want, the new meter can have remote reading, so nobody photographs the dial every month. NextTek fits and connects meters for flats, houses and managers. A flat's meter no longer has to be swapped just because a date passed, and we say so plainly. Electricity and heat are on the energy monitoring page. The prices below are a range, not an invoice.
The goal is not a pretty chart. The goal is a reading nobody has to dictate over the phone.

If the meter turns at night, when nobody needs water, it is often a toilet or a hose. You notice that sooner than on a quarterly bill.
They are separate meters. A hot-water meter at the substation is not the cold meter in the shaft by the flat.
By 1 January 2027 an apartment building must decide on water metering: one remote-read system or the current meters. Replacement is not mandatory.
If the gap against the building meter is large, we look for a leak first. We do not blame the meter at once.
Since June 2025 a water meter in a flat no longer needs verification every four years. If it works, you may keep using it.
A flat owner often wants to stop photographing the dial. A manager wants every flat in one list.
You can replace your own meter if the manager allows it and there is a place for the transmitter. One smart meter without a building collector shows less than the advert promises.
Then it makes sense: one collector and a meter per flat. For heat meters the EU requires remote reading by 1 January 2027, unless the country shows it is not cost-effective. An apartment building must make its own decision on water metering by the same date, and the same reading is already easier for the manager.
Smart water meters are not one price for all of Riga. Diameter differs, so does whether the meter already pulses, and how many flats are in the building.
One point with a transmitter in a private home is often about 80–200 euro for the device, plus labour and a collector if you need one. A network for dozens of flats is a different quote. We write that after seeing the shaft.
We remove a sealed meter only when the manager or supplier releases it. Otherwise the reading is no good for billing afterwards.
The calculator shows a rough cost. We prepare an exact quote after we see the site. Ranges on this page are not a formal offer.
