An electrician in Riga: what to fix first

Short answer: fix what runs hot or trips the breaker first. Climate, gates, and meters come after, if the panel allows them.

What the electrician looks at

A sparking socket. A warm switch. A breaker with no name. NextTek does that in Riga and Pierīga. Work that needs a signed test goes to someone allowed to sign it.

A home charger

A home car charger is cable and spare power, not a shop box. In a flat the building decides the parking place and the power. One flat is not enough.

Short answers

What does an electrician cost?
It cannot honestly be priced from a photo. NextTek gives a range after looking at the panel, once the breakers, wiring and space are visible. That is a range, not a quote.
How often must the wiring be checked?
The Fire Safety Regulations require it every 10 years, including a thermal camera check of connections. The result goes into an inspection report that you keep.
Who may sign the inspection report?
A specialist with an electrical safety qualification and a calibrated meter. The report comes with a copy of their certificate, the meter calibration certificate and a wiring diagram.
Why does the breaker trip?
Most often an overloaded circuit or a faulty device. If the residual current breaker trips, the cause is often damp or one specific appliance. Unplug them one by one and watch.
Does a smart home need a new panel?
Not always. Wireless sensors are fine with the existing one. For relays, a charger or a power meter, the electrician first checks whether the panel has room and spare capacity.
Is a cable reel extension lead OK?
No, not while it is coiled unless the maker allows it. A coiled lead heats up, and the Fire Safety Regulations ban it outright. Unwind it fully or fit a socket.
